The former capital of the Laos Kingdom, Luang Prabang, is absolutely bursting with both natural and man made beauty.
The spiritual home of Laos PDR, Luang Prabang is heavily populated by Buddhist monks who belong to the various temples that are scattered through out this incredibly peaceful city that hugs the Mekong River.
I took this photo at dawn, when the local monks walk in single file down the central Sisavangvong Rd collecting their daily alms from locals and participating visitors alike.
Probably the biggest surprise to me was how much the monks give back to the poor during this daily event.

Great DOF, had to be such a cool experience.
